Race Relations with Marcus Monroe

Equality will never be experienced in the United States unless we first come together in our communities. Only through united communities can rebuild a united Republic. A united Republic will result in the citizens of that Republic being equal. Marcus Monroe and Michael Marshall discuss what is needed to bring together the Black Community and how Black and White Americans can quit seeing the divide and start to see each other as Americans. Enshrining the principle that ALL PEOPLE ARE CREATED EQUAL.

FMJ vs Hollow Points

In 2018, I'm not sure why this is even a matter of debate. Especially with the highway of knowledge called the internet. FMJs shouldn't be carried; even in states (I'm only aware of New Jersey but there could be others) where hollow point use isn't allowed. Finding that better option will take time on your part, but in the end, you will have yourself a round that is more efficient at stopping an attacker than your bulk-bought ball ammo.

Ruger SR1911 in 10mm – You Gotta See This

The Ruger SR1911 retails at $1,019 however local gun stores have it available for right around $750. Its features include; a five-inch bushingless bull-barrel, full-length guide rod, rubber grips, (2) eight-round magazines, skeleton trigger and hammer, a 70's series (without a firing pin block) 5.75-pound trigger and target sights with the rear being adjustable. Other features include a flat mainspring housing, extended beavertail, and a non-textured front strap on the grip. All things considered, the Ruger SR1911 10mm is a loaded package that’s put together with typical Ruger Firearms quality.

Guns DO save lives.

It was late December, 1971, and tensions in the city were high.  While everyone was used to a certain level of crime being perpetrated throughout the 5 boroughs, one rash of incidents had many on edge.  For several weeks,  two men were out targeting diners, coffee shops, and just about any other place where a full cash drawer could be found. Upon entering an establishment, without saying a word, one would shoot the person behind the counter and the other would empty the till. This one night, they selected their next target...and this is what happened next.

The NEW (Upgraded) Walther CCP M2

The Walther CCP was created to provide a softer shooting experience by using a gas-delayed blow-back system (soft-coil system) to drastically reduce felt recoil. This system also enables Walther to install a light recoil spring which allows the pistol's slide to be easily manipulated when charging a round. The Walther CCP was marketed to female shooters, senior citizens and others who lack the needed hand strength to manually work the upper slide. It was a brilliant idea.

Things Like That Mean a Whole Damn Lot

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to participate in an Urban Rifle training course offered by Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department up here in Maine. I’ve known Scott for a little while, with him being the Sheriff of the County I live in, and had previously interviewed him for Liberty First Foundation.

Commentary: What isn’t being said about Florida and gun control

There is never a good moment to discuss the Second Amendment and gun control after a shooting incident, especially when that crime has taken lives. Like all Americans, I mourn the loss of innocents to the actions of a mad man on a mission of evil. It is because of that loss, and the utter loathing of acts of evil, that I will never utter the name of the sick individual who committed this crime in Jacksonville, FL, in any commentary or reporting. Even in 2018, there is such a thing as infamy and it deserves no glorification.

Who’s responsible for your safety?

Earlier this week, my State’s Governor made a truly unfortunate statement. You see Governor Bullock has been short-listed for a 2020 run at the Presidency, and as such has been getting more media attention. He was on CNN and was asked about banning semiautomatics, and he said he was for it. Politics aside, it hurts my heart that any leader of any state would resort to such short-sighted rhetoric under the false pretense of wanting to “protect” our children.

The 15 Best Sub-Compact 9mm Handguns (with a double stack magazine)

In the last 10 years, we have seen incredible increases in Americans receiving their concealed carry permits. These are people who understand that the safety and protection of themselves and their families fall on them. As many in the media demonize those who choose to carry a gun, it was recently reported that 17.25 million Americans have obtained their concealed carry permits. That large number doesn't take into account that millions of Americans legally open carry a handgun which increases the overall number of people carrying a gun even further.

New York Cop Story

It was a rainy September evening, right around 10 p.m.  Officer Johnson was on foot patrol in “Chinatown” NYC.  Officer Johnson called into the station that he was going on his meal break and ducked into Dewey Chin’s for a bite to eat.  No sooner did he take off his slicker and hat, a woman runs into the restaurant, frantically looking for the soaking wet beat cop that just picked up his menu.

Speech: A comprehensive look at Red Flag laws

This is an amended transcript of a speech, made by "M V Consulting Inc and Liberty First Foundation NY Chapter president Michael "Vass" Vasquez to the members of the Americans for Restoring the Constitution (AFRTC) and the general public at the Vestal Public Library. The speech is an over 8,000 words long in-depth observation of Red Flag legislation in New York State and across the nation. Due to the length of the details and data, compiled from over 50 sources in an on-going investigation, in-context excerpts are being provided. Also due to time constraints, the actual live presentation truncated portions of the original documentation, without alteration of the data, details, or context.

The Most Hated 27 Words in America

In 2018, if you are afraid of firearms, you most likely believe that the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution contains 27 of the most hated words in America. But, if you are a freedom-loving, patriotic American who believes in the Bill of Rights, you embrace these words, and others, that describe the individual civil rights which have been enshrined in the Constitution as having been endowed to us by our Creator, not the government.

Call to Action: Defending our freedom from Red Flag laws

What is at stake is the Second Amendment, the Fourth Amendment, the Fourteenth Amendment, and the Due Process Clause. This will affect not only our education system, not only legal law-abiding firearm owners but the structure of families. All for an illusion of safety that is neither guaranteed nor even implied to be real. The trade is unbalanced and expressly targeted to provide for the political aspirations of an elected official seeking a 2020 presidential run, and a Party seeking to maintain power at all costs.

Hidden gun restriction Bills pushed by Gov. Cuomo, and their consequences

Given the incredible week for America, with breakthroughs in US-North Korean relations and revelations from the long-awaited Department of Justice Inspector General report, it's no surprise that the majority of New Yorkers missed the actions of Gov. Andrew Cuomo. It was in this week that unprecedented restrictions on American liberty were attempted to be slipped past the public. It was in this week that the issue of "Red Flag" laws were pressed upon the NY State Senate in the last step before being inflicted on the public.

Liberty Is Not A Political Position

What is your political position? To answer this question, it requires you to examine your personal beliefs and assign a label to yourself. The world in which we live is full of labels. Words intended to define everything known to man. And in the realm of politics, there is no shortage of adjectives available to describe the different forms of government employed in various countries around the globe, the political parties that exist and operate within the framework of those governments and the personal political ideologies of the citizens who live under them.

Another July 4th in Chicago goes unspoken by national media and anti-2nd Amendment politicians

Once again July 4th has come and gone and in Chicago, the celebration ended with violence and death. Not that the general public would know as the cone of silence over discussion about this City on a national level continues to be in effect.

Do NOT Do This at the Gun Store

When entering a gun store, my advice is for people to keep their ego in check, mind their business, conduct themselves in a professional manner and keep all guns cased and unloaded with the breech locked open. For guns that do not lock open, a chamber flag is a nice touch.

In the video below, I asked a couple of gun store workers what upsets them the most about certain customer's behavior. They make some good points that should serve a lesson to all of us who frequent gun stores. Watch the video and let us know your experiences at your local gun store.

What are The Federalist Papers? Who wrote them?

From September through April 1787-1788, The Federalist Papers were written and published in New York newspapers. These editorials explain the new Constitution, including what the different articles and clauses mean.  And they encouraged the people of New York State to ratify the Constitution.

History of Guns presented by Frank Johnson in Vestal NY

When it comes to the issue of the Second Amendment, there is no lack of passion from opponents and supporters alike. Yet one of the biggest issues for both sides is the lack of clear, credible, concise facts. Misinformation and misrepresentation can be found in wave after wave of memes and fake quotes on the internet and social media. To combat this deluge of disinformation, and to further informed discussion, the Americans for Restoring the Constitution (AFRTC) invited NY licensed firearms instructor Frank Johnson to speak at their July meeting in Vestal, NY at the Vestal Public Library. The event was open to the public and free.

Do NOT Do This at the Gun Store

Often times, what we think is “common sense” gun safety, others have a completely different idea of what that means. For example, when entering a gun store, there are certain procedures that should be followed to ensure the safety of everyone in the area. Safe gun handling is mandatory practice for all gun owners however this applies to a higher degree when handling a gun in public. Nobody should be put in danger’s way because …
