There is never a good moment to discuss the Second Amendment and gun control after a shooting incident, especially when that crime has taken lives. Like all Americans, I mourn the loss of innocents to the actions of a mad man on a mission of evil. It is because of that loss, and the utter loathing of acts of evil, that I will never utter the name of the sick individual who committed this crime in Jacksonville, FL, in any commentary or reporting. Even in 2018, there is such a thing as infamy and it deserves no glorification.
This is an amended transcript of a speech, made by “M V Consulting Inc and Liberty First Foundation NY Chapter president Michael “Vass” Vasquez to the members of the Americans for Restoring the Constitution (AFRTC) and the general public at the Vestal Public Library. The speech is an over 8,000 words long in-depth observation of Red Flag legislation in New York State and across the nation. Due to the length of the details and data, compiled from over 50 sources in an on-going investigation, in-context excerpts are being provided. Also due to time constraints, the actual live presentation truncated portions of the original documentation, without alteration of the data, details, or context.
In 2018, if you are afraid of firearms, you most likely believe that the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution contains 27 of the most hated words in America. But, if you are a freedom-loving, patriotic American who believes in the Bill of Rights, you embrace these words, and others, that describe the individual civil rights which have been enshrined in the Constitution as having been endowed to us by our Creator, not the government.
What is at stake is the Second Amendment, the Fourth Amendment, the Fourteenth Amendment, and the Due Process Clause. This will affect not only our education system, not only legal law-abiding firearm owners but the structure of families. All for an illusion of safety that is neither guaranteed nor even implied to be real. The trade is unbalanced and expressly targeted to provide for the political aspirations of an elected official seeking a 2020 presidential run, and a Party seeking to maintain power at all costs.
Given the incredible week for America, with breakthroughs in US-North Korean relations and revelations from the long-awaited Department of Justice Inspector General report, it’s no surprise that the majority of New Yorkers missed the actions of Gov. Andrew Cuomo. It was in this week that unprecedented restrictions on American liberty were attempted to be slipped past the public. It was in this week that the issue of “Red Flag” laws were pressed upon the NY State Senate in the last step before being inflicted on the public.
In the video included, I interviewed Mark so he could express in his own words his love of Country, God, and Guns, I believe it reflects what so many of us believe, live, teach our children… and fear we are losing, If we can secure Men and Women like Mr. Callahan to represent our values in the Government, I believe we can win this fight with those who choose to take our liberty and Constitutional rights away.
The Constitution is not a document built on interpretation, we don’t have the right to cherry-pick what we choose to follow, failure to adhere to the exact legal terminology stated in the Document will certainly collapse it and render it as a relic that only pertained to Citizens 2 or 300 years ago,
The problem with war any war is that when the last shot is fired and the smoke clears the world is forever changed. It will never be the same as it was before the actions that lead to war. The countries involved are forever changed and the people are changed.
I took a lot away from my conversation with Sheriff Nichols. It’s clear that he is a man of principle, and he’s not afraid to take a stand and speak his mind. He’s a real asset to us in the state of Maine, and I’m proud that he’s my county Sheriff. Even more important though, right now, is how strong of an advocate he is for the Second Amendment and for our fundamental rights as American citizens. He’s a man you want on your side, and as free American citizens, it’s good to know that he has our back.
When the government does not trust it citizens in enacts legislation to curtail the citizens. Gun control is the government saying they do not trust the people with guns. Why do they fear people having guns?
