Our review of the Sccy CPX-3 .380. A budget friendly sidearm packed with value!
The HK45c is essentially an updated USP45 Compact. This is something that piqued my interests since it came equipped with a standard 1913 rail. The only downside with the HK45c was that it was slightly larger in every dimension compared to the USP45 Compact. On that same note though it came with a standard 1913 rail and was $200 less… so how could I complain?

The Ruger SR1911 retails at $1,019 however local gun stores have it available for right around $750. Its features include; a five-inch bushingless bull-barrel, full-length guide rod, rubber grips, (2) eight-round magazines, skeleton trigger and hammer, a 70’s series (without a firing pin block) 5.75-pound trigger and target sights with the rear being adjustable. Other features include a flat mainspring housing, extended beavertail, and a non-textured front strap on the grip. All things considered, the Ruger SR1911 10mm is a loaded package that’s put together with typical Ruger Firearms quality.
The Walther CCP was created to provide a softer shooting experience by using a gas-delayed blow-back system (soft-coil system) to drastically reduce felt recoil. This system also enables Walther to install a light recoil spring which allows the pistol’s slide to be easily manipulated when charging a round. The Walther CCP was marketed to female shooters, senior citizens and others who lack the needed hand strength to manually work the upper slide. It was a brilliant idea.
In the last 10 years, we have seen incredible increases in Americans receiving their concealed carry permits. These are people who understand that the safety and protection of themselves and their families fall on them. As many in the media demonize those who choose to carry a gun, it was recently reported that 17.25 million Americans have obtained their concealed carry permits. That large number doesn’t take into account that millions of Americans legally open carry a handgun which increases the overall number of people carrying a gun even further.
Glock and Walther are two popular firearm manufacturers that produce handguns that American’s love. Each of these companies has a large and loyal following of enthusiasts who feel their handgun is superior. Glock is known for its extreme reliability, accuracy, and toughness. Walther holds the market on exceptional ergonomics, comfortable shooting, and exceptional accuracy as well.
Gun manufacturer Remington produces a small and lightweight .380 ACP pistol called the RM380. The Remington RM380 is an aluminum framed, a hammer-fired pocket pistol that has proven to be consistently reliable. It sports a long double-action trigger pull along with a snag-free design that many feel is ideal for pocket carry. To top it off, the RM380 can be purchased for under $250 making it a quality, budget-priced concealed carry choice.
Let’s face it, 1911’s are incredible handguns that are beautifully historic, functionally superior and amazingly accurate shooting handguns. You guessed it, I’m a huge fan of 1911’s. There is nothing like that short single action trigger that makes an average shooter feel like a professional. When I’m having a rough day at the range, I load up my full-size Desert Eagle 1911G and my problem is solved. The supreme accuracy a 1911 handgun delivers is a confidence booster that, in my opinion, cannot be duplicated.
The Lionheart LH9CN, is a gun that is relatively unknown… a lot of people have heard of them, they’ve heard a lot of things, but there isn’t a lot of information out there on them it seems. In this review, we’ll be going over what you get in the box, an explanation of what double action + is, my thoughts on the gun, and then the history and the changes Lionheart has made to the platform (allll the way at the end). Buckle in, because this will be a long one!
